Crash course on Git and GitHub

I followed the instructions in the movie above to store the source code file from my IntelliJ project (click here to see the project) in a repository in GitHub.com

These are my terminal commands to commit my IntelliJ source code files to a new repository in github .com:

cd /home/anne/Desktop/ud282-master/GameApplication/src/com/company
ls
clear
pwd
ls
git init
git config --global user.name 'annedawson'
git config --global user.email 'anne.dawson@gmail.com'
git status
git add *.*
git status
git commit -m 'Updated Thu Jan 18 9:53'
git status
# Login to github.com
# Create new repository at GitHub.com
# the following are from GitHub.com
echo "# ud282-GameApplication" >> README.md
git add README.md
git status
git commit -m "first commit"
git remote add origin https://github.com/annedawson/ud282-GameApplication.git
git push -u origin master
# update /home/anne/Desktop/ud282-master/GameApplication/src/com/company/Main.java
git status
git add Main.java
git status
git commit -m "updated Main.java Thu 18 Jan 11:15"
git push
